We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping and data entry tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Posting invoices, payments, and other transactions
Processing EFT payments and deposits
Preparing A/P, A/R, and other reports
Following up on overdue invoices and supplier statements
Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing and filing source deductions and HST returns
Assisting with year-end financials and audit requests
Providing general bookkeeping functions
Offering backup administrative support
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting assistant role
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
High level of dependability and ability to work independently
Business diploma or relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset
