Admin officer, College of Arts & SciencesThis position is within the College of Arts & Sciences Non-Credit Community Arts & Artisanship Program and the Multilingual Conversational Languages Program.Primary Purpose: You will support the promotion and marketing of program offerings for children, youth and adult classes and workshops.Nature of Work: You will report to the Program Coordinator and work with instructors and students to champion maximum enrolments, review current programming & operations and ensure outreach and engagement to key stakeholders inside and outside the University.Typical Duties or Accountabilities:

  • Lead the promotion and marketing of Community Arts and Conversational Languages programming for adults, youth, and children, including websites, e-news, social media and other channels
  • Assist in the recruiting of instructors and children\'s camp counsellors, including grant writing for the Community Arts programming
  • Build and promote graduation, student, and instructor online art shows
  • Participate in the continued review of current programming and operations, and discussions about new directions and programming, with input from participants and in collaboration with staff.
Education: Formal education obtained in Fine Arts. Relevant experience in marketing, graphic design, eplatforms, grant writing etc. Language skills in a language other than English is not necessary but sought.Experience: Must have a minimum of 5+ years experience in marketing, graphic design, eplatforms, grant writing etc.Skills:
  • Possess effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills so as to effectively aid in the recruitment of instructors and children\'s camp counsellors; in the continued review of current programming and operations, and discussions about new directions and programming
  • Possess knowledge of various Art forms and mediums. Teaching experience is not necessary but candidates that have will be given closer consideration
  • Possess relevant experience in and knowledge about promotion and marketing for adults, youth, and children, including websites, e-news, social media and other channels.
