OverviewAre you interested in gaining meaningful experience in a growing environment?Manitoba Public Insurance is currently accepting applications for adjusting opportunities on a term basis. As an adjuster, you will acquire the skills necessary to adjust to all types of physical and property damage claims. In addition to investigating, assessing, negotiating and settling claims, you will advise customers on available benefits, liability surcharges and merit/discount programs.Opportunities may arise at various locations throughout the province so be sure to indicate which location(s) interest you.Responsibilities

• Represent Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) in the handling of insurance claims by providing exceptional customer service. This will include handling physical and property damage claims, including confirming coverage, assessing, negotiating and settling claims.
• Discuss benefits, coverage, liability, Driver Safety Rating impacts and claim settlement with customers.
• Respond to public inquiries and customer concerns as required.
• Communicate with customers, witnesses, third parties and other business partners, in a timely manner, by telephone, written correspondence and in person.

QualificationsTo be considered for an adjuster opportunity, you must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two course credits from the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Program.
• Three years of general office and/or customer service experience.

OR

• Post secondary diploma from a recognized institution
• One year of general office and/or customer service experience.

AND

• Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
• Successful completion of the Associate Adjuster Qualification Test.
• Must have a valid 5F driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle.
• Must be willing and able to travel, as required.
