ADDICTION WORKER (25-0000714)





Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-SMSC



Status: Casual



Site: Sister Margaret Smith Centre



Department: Adult Addictions



Shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights including weekends



Rate of Pay: $29.827 - $30.457

per hour





Within the framework of the Adult Addiction Programs, the Addiction Worker is responsible for assisting other team members with the entry of clients into the appropriate service at the Sister Margaret Smith Centre and assist with the facilitation of program delivery..




Qualifications:





Education/Experience:


Minimum of a two-year Diploma in Social Services or Addictions field Minimum of one year experience working with Adult Addiction clients in a congregate setting or community-based programs



Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills Well-developed written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Thorough understanding of all aspects of substance abuse and/or problem gambling Demonstrated regular attendance at work



Asset:

Knowledge of working with DBT, CBT framework is an asset



CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
