Job Title Actuarial Analyst



What is the opportunity?

As part of the Group Risk Management team, the Actuarial Analyst will report to the Director, Actuarial & Risk Management of GRMI (Group Risk Management - Insurance). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the quarterly CALM valuation process and asset related projects/strategies.

What will you do?

  • Produce the quarterly CALM valuation process.
  • Assist in asset data checking and reconciliation.
  • Determine the impact of CALM trades on earnings and interest rate risk profile.
  • Measure, monitor and report on interest rate risk.
  • Assist and perform analysis in CALM on asset related projects/strategies.
  • Assist manger in annual economic assumption changes
  • Provide support to internal/external teams for quarterly/annually reports such as LICAT, risk reports, AAR, materials for Board, etc.
What will you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science or Statistics (preferably with some relevant actuarial experience.)
  • Minimum 3 Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams.
  • CALM/Investment working experience and knowledge.
  • High energy, self-starter, innovative, and always challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Strong knowledge on AXIS, MS Access database.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with life insurance administration systems
