Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA) is a private, co-educational day and boarding school located in the Niagara Region of Ontario. Serving students in Grades 5-12, FEIA provides a vibrant academic, athletic, and extracurricular environment with a focus on excellence, character development, and global citizenship. With the majority of our students living on campus, evenings and weekends are an essential part of the student experience.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities & Events Coordinator to plan, organize, and deliver engaging programming for our diverse student body. This position requires evening and weekend availability to ensure students are provided with a safe, structured, and fun environment beyond the classroom.
The successful candidate will bring creativity, organizational skills, and strong interpersonal ability to enhance the boarding school experience for our students.
This position will be required to work weekends (approximately 1 pm to 9 pm) and three weeknights/week.
This is a 3-month Assignment with the possibility for full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise a variety of on-campus and off-campus student activities, clubs, and weekend excursions.
Develop and deliver a Campus Life @ FEIA schedule aligned with the school's mission, cultural diversity, and student interests.
Work evenings and weekends to ensure consistent student engagement outside the academic day.
Collaborate with staff, House Parents, and Student Services to create inclusive, safe, and memorable experiences.
Promote activities and events through student-friendly communications (announcements, posters, WhatsApp blasts, etc.).
Track attendance, manage resources, and oversee logistics (transportation, equipment, permissions).
Provide leadership and supervision that fosters belonging, inclusion, and community among boarding and day students.
Support special events such as cultural nights, talent shows, sports tournaments, and seasonal celebrations.
Ensure activities comply with school policies, safety regulations, and risk management practices.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in recreation, event management, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working with youth or in a boarding school, camp, or residential life environment.
Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
Energetic, adaptable, and able to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Class G driver's license an asset.
Availability to work
