Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the Activities Director in planning and executing events on the calendar.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a strong familiarity with the monthly calendar in order to be prepared for day to day events, as well as answer questions from Residents, families, staff members and/or public.
Assist with preparation of materials to communicate and advertise events on the calendar, including posters, calendars, e-blasts, etc.
Run various events on the Activities Calendar as required.
Assist with setup and tear down of the space, equipment, furniture, etc.
Engage with Residents to solicit participation in events and communicate upcoming events.
Assist with coordinating outside vendors, such as performers or rental companies, as needed for event preparation.
Maintain building spaces and Activities equipment or tools to ensure readiness for use and cleanliness for public presentation.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills.
Comfortable in reaching out to people and engaging them socially, one on one or in a group.
Comfortable/experienced in public speaking.
Proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience in Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign or similar is a plus.
Familiarity with Audio/Video/Computer setup, i.e. computers, projectors, home theatre systems, basic sound systems a plus.
