Position Summary



We currently have an opening available for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at Surrey, BC location. the position provides financial, clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing for accounting functions. This position is an important support role in the accounting department and in meeting head office requirements. The company will provide training and ongoing support to ensure success in your role.

Position Requirements



Monitor customer accounts for outstanding invoices and other irregularities Audit, Process/Coding, Data entry of AR Invoices Follow up on, collect and allocate payments Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities to meet deadlines Research and resolve payment discrepancies Review AR aging to ensure compliance Help with maintaining accounts receivable customer files and records Follow procedures for processing receipts, cash, and credit card payments Prepare and process bank deposits Generate invoices and account statements Backup for Accounts Payable duties Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail Assist with month-end closing Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualification



High School diploma and completion of an accounting diploma or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting field Strong data entry and keyboarding skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially MS Excel skills Ability to manage in a multi-currency environment Multi-tasking and time-management skills while working with daily deadlines Works well under pressure Positive, self-motivated, self-starter and analytical attitude, works independently Attention to detail and accuracy Interprets standard operating procedures and practices and identifies workflow inefficiencies for improvement; problem solving skills Team member with a sense of urgency
