We have an opportunity for a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable to join our Corporate Finance team. The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable, reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable, is responsible for supervising the accurate daily processing and recording of bank deposits and accounts receivables, while driving continuous process improvements within the team. This position is also responsible for resolving any discrepancies in accounts, journal entries, reconciliation, and collections, as well as handling complex issues and ad-hoc deliverables.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

Accounts Receivable (AR) Processing:

Supervise all AR processes, deliverables and timelines; providing support, guidance, hands-on training and coverage to team members as required

Manage the AR team shared mailbox; assign follow-ups to team members and assist with non-routine / complex enquiries

Support billing cycle, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued in a timely manner

Review unidentified receipts \xe2\x80\x9con-account\xe2\x80\x9d to ensure all unallocated cash is properly matched against invoices prior to month-end reporting

Oversee team in collating back-up, legal acts or other supporting documentation for invoices to properties, project owners and/or regulators

Identify, develop and drive continuous process and efficiency improvements

Accounting:

Prepare assigned monthly billing, adjusting, revenue, and accrual entries. Assist team members to ensure coordination of all required journals are booked accordingly for month-end review and posting

Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

Reconcile intercompany AR accounts and perform intercompany transactions

Provide support and explanation to external and internal audits as required

Collections:

Handle complex A/R inquiries and respond to properties on a timely basis; proactively escalate issues to senior management

Identify, investigate and resolve disputed transactions.

Assist AR Manager in implementing standard collections procedures. Document action plans and follow-ups in the Collections Database and develop \xe2\x80\x9cproblematic\xe2\x80\x9d property profiles

Collaborate with AR team members, identify and escalate aging/collections issues to AR Manager

Reporting:

Lead the preparation of the monthly and quarterly AR Aging Report, including insightful commentaries, highlighting key issues

Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as required

Develop new AR analytics and metrics for measuring AR and collections based on business requirements

What You Bring

University degree with Finance or Accounting major

Completion or working towards professional accounting designation

4-5 years of accounting experience

Experience and knowledge of a computerized GL / accounting system (experience with SUN and Vision would be an asset)

MS Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word, SharePoint

Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy

Ability to work collaboratively with AR team members and with stakeholders across the Company

Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
