Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to hopefully lead our Accounts Receivable. This role requires excellent data entry skills, a strong, working knowledge of accounting, and exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.

Salary based on experience and performance. Health benefits after probationary period.

Only accountants with a minimum of 3 years of experience need apply. This is NOT a support position. and is strictly an in person job.

Duties

Reconcile credit card and cash payments and enter appropriate G/L postings Apply payments from EFT, Online, Cash, E-transfer, Cheque and Credit cards Check orders for errors and email to clients (approximately 60 per day) Send payment links when requested Identify overdue accounts or billing issues. Maintain Excel spreadsheet as payments are received Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances via phone or email with professionalism and courtesy File invoices with accuracy Maintain accurate customer files and notes.

Experience

At least 3 years accounting experience and firm grasp of accounting principles. Have experience creating G/L postings Must have excellent attention to detail. Good organizational skills. Extremely competent command of English, both verbal and written. Follow written and verbal instructions. Outlook and Word competence. Competent with Excel and proficient in rearranging worksheets. Excellent interpersonal skills for customer relations. Be polite but firm regarding our customer policies. Email and call overdue customers. Provide reports when required. Reconcile credit cards and cash daily. Work well both with fellow employees and autonomously. Will be expected to research potential customers and provide recommendations. Invoice with accuracy. Spire (or Business Vision) experience a plus. Small claims experience a plus.

Pay: $52,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
