Job Description


We are providing an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in North York, Ontario. The selected candidate will join our team to ensure the efficient management of receivables for both residential and commercial real estate properties. The role encompasses accurate billing, collection, and reconciliation of accounts, maintaining a positive relationship with tenants and clients, and other duties related to real estate financial operations.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the process of generating and distributing monthly rent invoices for residential and commercial tenants.
  • Ensure the accurate calculation of rents, utilities, and other charges as per lease agreements.
  • Handle adjustments, credits, and refunds as necessary.
  • Keep track of accounts to identify outstanding debts and implement collection strategies.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding overdue accounts and follow up on payment plans.
  • Reconcile tenant accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accounts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tenants regarding billing inquiries and disputes.
  • Maintain and update tenant information in the property management software, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the accounts receivable system.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with CRM platforms
  • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
  • Familiarity with Billing Functions
  • Ability to handle Cash Activity proficiently
  • Experience with Check Processing procedures
  • Proficiency in using Yardi Enterprise and Yardi systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
