Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This Contract position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and optimize accounts receivable processes for our North America group. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate invoicing, effective collections, and streamlined cash application processes.
Responsibilities:

• Process customer invoices and manage collections to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Handle daily bank deposits and perform cash application tasks with precision.
• Monitor customer portals for payment and deduction updates, ensuring accurate system records.
• Prepare credit notes for account adjustments and oversee customer credit holds and releases.
• Follow up on overdue accounts by analyzing aging reports and maintaining detailed records of collection activities.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes, collaborating with sales and customer service teams.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances, including credits and deductions, to maintain accuracy.
• Generate and analyze aging reports to support effective cash flow management.
• Provide insights on days sales outstanding (DSO) and identify areas for process improvement.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel for managing accounts and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and cash applications.
• Experience in reconciling bank and cash transactions with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with customer retail contracts and business terms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
• Ability to analyze accounts receivable data and identify trends or areas for optimization.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers.
