Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where the selected individual will be accountable for maintaining customer accounts and handling accounts receivable inquiries. The role includes communicating professionally with customers, processing daily billings, payments, and adjustments, and providing support for various accounting functions.Responsibilities:- Handle inbound and outbound communications related to accounts receivable, including emails and phone calls.
- Provide support to customers for payment processing and other accounts receivable inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Maintain customer contract billing module, including updates, additions, cancellations, and status changes.
- Process daily billings, payments, manual billings, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Follow up and apply unapplied cash receipts to maintain accurate customer credit records.
- Perform daily deposit, cash allocations, customer write-offs, returned payments, intercompany transactions, and affinity commissions.
- Upload, scan, and log customer documents to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Serve as backup for other accounts receivable personnel, providing support as needed.
- Support Vendor Master Maintenance, ensuring vendor information is accurate and up-to-date.- Minimum of two years experience in a similar role or related field
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with Billing Functions
- Ability to manage Cash Activity efficiently
- Demonstrated experience in Collections
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
