About This Opportunity:
This is a full-time term position to cover a maternity leave, with an anticipated end date of January 31, 2027. There is potential for this position to transition into a permanent role, depending on organizational needs and performance. We are seeking a candidate who is available to begin as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and adequate training period.

$56,000 - $60,000 per year (commensurate with experience and education)
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, payment processing, and collections. This role plays a critical part in maintaining healthy cash flow, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue invoices for services provided.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
Record and process incoming payments via cheques, bank deposits, or electronic transfers.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing or payments.
Communicate with internal departments and external clients to clarify billing issues.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer account records.
Prepare regular AR reports for management, highlighting delinquent accounts or concerns.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling AR balances.
Assist with auditing and documentation related to receivables.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or relevant certifications/designations in accounting or finance are considered an asset.
1+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Experience working in aviation or healthcare industries is considered an asset.
Required to obtain and maintain satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check).
Required to possess and maintain valid Class "G" driver's license, with a clean driving record and access to private vehicle.
