Job Description

We are offering contract employment opportunity for an Collectiosn Specialist in Vaughan, Ontario. This role is within the industry, where you will be tasked with the maintenance of customer records, processing of applications, and addressing customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain up-to-date customer credit records

• Handle customer inquiries professionally, including resolving payment disputes and processing payments and refunds

• Provide detailed customer reconciliations and statements as required

• Monitor client accounts and review accounts in arrears to take appropriate actions

• Notify debtors of overdue payments and accounts via telephone, mail, and email, ensuring timely follow up if a reply is not received

• Locate debtors to arrange payment plans

• Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory
• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role is highly desirable
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong data entry skills
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of confidentiality and professionalism
• Familiarity with accounting software and programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• High school diploma required, associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
