JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Junior Accountant\'s duties will include full cycle accounts receivables, reconciliation of accounts, intercompany transactions and Excel spreadsheet management. This is a contract to hire role located in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Responsibilities

- Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

- Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts

- Prepare monthly journal entries

- Aiding in full cycle Accounts Receivable processes

- Perform manual billing
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

- Experience with high volume data entry

- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- Strong attention to detail

- Applicants with an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business are recommended for this position

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

- AS400 experience desired

- At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience
