We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely invoicing. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities to effectively communicate with clients regarding their accounts.
Duties
Process and record accounts receivable transactions accurately using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel.
Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring all billing information is correct.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, including payment history and outstanding balances.
Assist with accounts payable tasks as necessary to support the finance team.
Conduct analysis of accounts receivable data to identify trends and improve collection processes.
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries regarding billing issues or payment status.
Utilize negotiation skills to follow up on overdue accounts and establish payment arrangements when necessary.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all transactions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft) is highly desirable.
Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge with a focus on accounts receivable processes.
Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to maintain accurate financial records.
Strong analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation tasks.
Proficient math skills for handling financial calculations accurately.
Effective phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with clients professionally.
Previous experience in financial services or a similar role is preferred but not required.
