Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. This hybrid role, based in Brantford, Ontario, is focused on managing receivables, ensuring timely follow-up on past-due accounts, and accurately processing payments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with customers via email and phone, processing payments, and performing various AR tasks to maintain accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities:- Follow-Up on Past Due Receivables (60%): Actively manage and follow up on past-due receivables primarily through email, with some phone communication as needed to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Credit Card Payment Processing (10%): Process credit card payments over the phone with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
- AR Mailbox Monitoring (15%): Regularly monitor the AR mailbox to respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide necessary support to facilitate payments.
- Offsetting Credits and Debits (5%): Manage and perform offsets of credits and debits on customer accounts to maintain accurate account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Cash Application (10%): Apply cash payments accurately, ensuring all customer payments are applied correctly and in a timely manner.Qualifications:- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage professionally with customers.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with AR software systems.
