Medavie Health Services West (MHSW) is the subsidiary of Medavie Health Services responsible for the optimal operation and management of an integrated, service-led primary health care organization. MHSW is looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator/Receptionist who will be focused on supporting the daily operations of the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Administrator/Receptionist will be responsible to front line customer service, receive and process payments, prepare daily bank deposits and monitor accounts receivable. This position requires a customer service-oriented individual who is self-motivated and who can promote and facilitate effective communication both internally and externally.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Greet visitors and answer and transfer telephone calls;
Process all incoming and outgoing company mail;
Handle cash, cheques, and electronic payments from all clients;
Respond to inquiries about A/R customer accounts;
Prepare daily bank deposits accurately and completely;
Mail invoices and bill all company sundry invoices;
Collect overdue accounts;
Reconcile fuel receipts to statement;
Handle all stage one customer concerns;
Read obituaries and record in SAGE and send estate statements when required;
Collate Detention statistics and create reports;
Print and prepare PCR\xe2\x80\x99s for release to clients;
Summarize FNIHB invoices and email them;
Respond to notice to creditor invoices;
Maintain ledger of post-dated payments;
Order office supplies;
Maintain an effective filing system of all AR records for easy retrieval;
Ensure Health Information Privacy Act (HIPA) compliance in all activities; and
Prepare schedules as required for external and internal audits.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
Office Administration Diploma or Certificate with one to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Requires extensive knowledge of the policies, structure and functions of internal administrative systems and practices applicable to private industry;
Requires superior diplomacy and interpersonal skills in dealing with difficult situations;
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites of Products;
Excellent keyboarding skills; and
Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
