Job Description

I'm looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a permanent 35-hour position for my client in the construction and real estate sector, located near De castelnau metro station.
Main responsibilities:
Manage the complete accounts payable cycle, including payment entry, processing and follow-up.
Make monthly entries and adjustments to control accounts.
Participate in the monthly closing by ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Maintain and apply internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of accounting operations.
For construction cheques, ensure that required documents (CSST, CCQ, MRQ clearance letters) are obtained prior to any disbursement.
Reconcile inter-company accounts rigorously.
Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on missing invoices.
Process expense claims for owners and employees.
Manage executive credit card statements.
Provide required reports to management in a timely manner.
Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and internal controls.
Assist accounting teams with month-end and year-end closings.
Your profile:
Bilingual (French/English), spoken and written
DEC or DEP in accounting/finance or equivalent
Experience with a large volume of invoices
3 years' experience in a similar position
Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
Knowledge of Yardi Voyageur 7 software an asset
Organizational and priority management skills
