We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to deepen their expertise in accounts payable and contribute to the financial operations of high-profile projects. You will report to the Controller and collaborate closely with the Principal and Project Managers. This role is based in Vancouver's vibrant Railtown neighborhood, in an award-winning space with stunning views.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
Review invoices with Project Directors and the Principal to ensure accuracy and proper approvals
Process payments to suppliers and vendors via wire transfers, EFTs, and cheques
Enter and code invoices accurately into the ERP system (Spectrum)
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly
Maintain vendor records and assist in onboarding new vendors
Support Project Directors with tracking change orders related to projects
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper cost allocations to projects
Bank Reconciliations:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
General Accounting Support:
Reconcile company credit cards and manage related transactions
Assist with GST/PST filings and reconciliations as required
Perform other administrative or accounting tasks as assigned
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Mac operating system, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and ERP systems (e.g., Spectrum)

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
