Job #4649 - Our well-known and respected client is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their top-notch finance team! This role will provide the selected candidate with a competitive wage and the chance to work with a stable and respected company that offers a great work-life balance. You\'ll play an active role in ensuring the accuracy of the payable process and compliance with internal control policies and procedures. Main responsibilities include:

• Review and process vendor invoices with appropriate GL codes and accounts
• Review and process employee expense reports, and verify supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and accounting standards and identify areas for improvement as needed
• Prepare and process payment runs and maintain AP records and filing systems
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Prepare AP reports and related analysis
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Bachelor\'s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years\' experience in a similar accounts payable focused position
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in day-to-day work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Assets:

• Real estate, property management or construction industry experience
• Previous leadership experience

Compensation:

• $60,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $70,000 salary range
• Bonus potential
• RRSP / DPSP contribution plan
• Health care spending account
• 3 weeks\' vacation
