Job Description

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts payable function within the organization. This role involves supervising a team of accounts payable professionals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Supervise Accounts Payable Team: Manage a team of accounts payable staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

\xc2\xb7 Invoice Processing: Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies in an automated AP environment

\xc2\xb7 Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate favorable terms when applicable.

\xc2\xb7 Interface Management: Resolve errors as they arise through the interface from Concur to NetSuite and ensure completeness of information entered and processed.

\xc2\xb7 Payment Processing: Coordinate the timing and method of payments, such as cheques, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, to optimize cash flow.

\xc2\xb7 Expense Reporting: Oversee employee expense reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement.

\xc2\xb7 Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including invoice tracking, aging reports, and reconciliation.

\xc2\xb7 Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.

\xc2\xb7 Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end financial close processes, including reconciliation and reporting.

\xc2\xb7 Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounts payable processes and workflows for efficiency and accuracy.

\xc2\xb7 Reporting: Generate reports and provide analysis related to accounts payable for management and stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master\'s degree or CPA desirable).

\xc2\xb7 Several years of experience in accounts payable, including supervisory or management roles.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite and SAP/Concur desirable) and Microsoft Excel.

\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

\xc2\xb7 Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
