We are looking for a quick thinking, well organized and energetic accounts payable clerk who faces obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude. This is an in-person job; not able to be done remotely. Candidate must live on Southern Vancouver Island.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable 75%
Prompt and accurate processing of all vendors invoices
Ensure vendor accounts are current and up to date
Assist with Cost + billing - WIP reports, draft invoices
Perform A/P cheque runs; Filing of all A/P back-up
Ensure all vendor statements are reconciled to their accounts
Ensure all-subcontractors WCB accounts are in good standing
Manage VISA statements, billings and payments
Accounts Receivable 10%
Photocopy all client cheques when received
File photocopies with appropriate client invoices by job number
Filing all A/R back-up
Deposit client cheques in the bank when received
Cross training with A/R where required
General 15%
Assist with HR duties as required
Order and maintain office supplies
Manage incoming/outgoing mail* Assist with miscellaneous requirements from managers
Requirements:
Prefer 2+ years experience working in an office admin/accounts payable environment
A high degree of comfort with current computer technology and software
A working knowledge of Timberline software an asset, but not required
Self-motivated and take initiative
A strong team player and supporter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High degree of integrity and trustworthiness
Familiarity with job costing is an asset
Must have a vehicle with a valid BC Driver's license and insurance (for bank deposits)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
