The Role

We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position can be based out of our Delta or Vancouver office, depending on the preferences of the successful candidate and the outcome of the competition.

Responsibilities

The role of A/P clerk will include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sorting, coding, and data entry into accounting system
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry and post invoices on a timely basis
  • Maintain current and accurate vendor records
  • Contacting vendors to answer any queries they have and also to request revised invoices if any issues have occurred
  • Preparing cheque runs on required days
  • Posting pre-authorized payments and maintaining records for them
  • Copying and assistance within the department as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration or related field preferred)
  • 1 year experience in Accounts Payable; strata and/or rental experience is an asset but not required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in Property Management Industry a definite asset
  • Yardi software experience also an asset
