Accounts Payable Clerk & Office Assistant



We are seeking a highly organized and skilled

Accounts Payable Clerk & Office Assistant

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and strategic payments, and providing essential administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Processing:

Accurately process and code invoices, manage expense reports, and perform monthly bank statement reconciliations.

Vendor & Payment Management:

Pay vendors in a timely manner, balancing payment schedules efficiently and optimally. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve account discrepancies, and maintain the accounts payable inbox.

Data Management:

Update and maintain product information in

QuickBooks Online

and

Shopify

.

Administrative Support:

Answer phones, address internal and external inquiries, and assist other staff as needed. You will serve as a key point of contact for warehouse staff and drivers, assisting with inquiries and coordinating daily operations.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary education in Accounting. Proven experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment. Proficiency in

QuickBooks Online

and the

Microsoft Office Suite

(Excel, Outlook). Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A professional, adaptable, and "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced, industrial warehouse setting.

Position Details:



Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Opportunity for additional weekend hours is available.
This isn't a typical corporate office setting. Our small office is located within a busy food distribution warehouse. You'll work closely with our team and interact directly with drivers and warehouse staff daily. It's a fast-paced and hands-on environment, perfect for someone who thrives outside of a traditional office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
