Accounts Payable Clerk - Short-term Contract Opportunity starting immediately!

Robert Half has an Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. This role will require the candidate to attend to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department and work closely with the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Toronto, Ontario & working in office on a hybrid basis, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract of approximately 3-4 months. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and build on your resume in the Accounts Payable field.

What you get to do every day:

- Entering A/P invoices into the system
- Reviewing employee expense reports
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
- Execute additional tasks as needed

- 1-3+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience required
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and communication skills
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Experience with Workday highly preferred (alternatively, strong systems experience required)
