Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Current opening for an Accounts Payable clerk located in Toronto, Ontario. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be a temporary to hire position. Further career growth and quick advancement is possible in this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.
Key responsibilities
- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- Manage full-cycle A/P
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Execute additional tasks as needed
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Requirements
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
