STRABAG is actively seeking an
Accounts Payable Clerk
for our Canadian division where he/she can utilize their experience to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The work location of this position is in Scarborough, Ontario.
Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process, validate, and post vendor invoices through Microsoft Dynamics
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation, resolving discrepancies as needed
Maintain accurate financial records, backups, and transaction support in the system
Prepare and process payments via EFT, wire transfer, and cheque
Perform account reconciliations, including vendor statements and intercompany transactions
Monitor aged accounts payable balances to ensure timely settlement
Verify vendor details, including federal ID numbers, and set up new vendors in the system
Monitor and apply available payment discounts
Correspond with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice, payment, or documentation issues
Process staff expense claims and verify documentation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data
Support month-end closing activities as required
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including generating and reconciling vendor payments
Post-secondary education in accounting/finance, or equivalent experience
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system is an asset
Knowledge of full-cycle accounting principles and multi-currency transactions
Construction or project-based accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of German is an asset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Dynamics, Excel, Word)
