ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY



We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our

Finance team

as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that payments are made accurately and on time. Your work will be essential to maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting Hydro Tech's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:



Process day-to-day accounts payable transactions with accuracy and timeliness. Issue purchase orders Review, match, and enter vendor invoices, purchase orders, and credit memos in accordance with company policies. Ensure proper coding and approvals for all payables. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain organized records of all accounts payable documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals. Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve purchase order, contract, and invoice issues.

ABOUT YOU



The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting/finance role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail with organizational and time management abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Sage Accounting is an asset. Knowledge of accounts payable practices and general accounting principles including sales tax in Canada and the USA. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50-$26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
