:We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in Ottawa, Ontario. This role involves a significant amount of data entry and requires a meticulous approach to managing and inputting invoices.Responsibilities:

• Accurately inputting a high volume of invoices into the accounting system.
• Handling the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Proactively monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate actions as required.
• Ensuring the maintenance of precise customer credit records.
• Processing customer credit applications with diligence and precision.
• Resolving customer inquiries in a detail oriented and timely manner.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Food & Food Processing industry.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems.

• Demonstrated ability in handling bank reconciliations.

• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably with experience in industry-specific platforms.

• Excellent numerical, financial, and business acumen.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
