:Robert Half has partnered with a company in the Construction/Contractor field, to fill an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Construction/Contractor industry. Based out of the Langley, British Columbia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / contract opening. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.How you will make an impact- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department- Provide support during internal and external audits- Carry out additional projects as required- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed- Produce full-cycle A/P- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basisRequirements:- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds- 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Spreadsheet and database capabilities- Solid understanding of account reconciliation- Practical knowledge of Manual Invoices- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)- Experience with data entry- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel- Coding Invoices experience- Check Runs experience- General familiarity with EFT Payments- Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
