Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. Our passionate team is committed to providing cancer treatments of the future to the world of today.

TRIO is looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position will be hybrid-based.

Responsibilities:

• Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile accounts payable invoices and calculate and prepare cheques for payment
• Respond to Investigator and Vendors inquiries
• Code shipping waybills to appropriate study
• Preparing A/P cheques for sending out (attaching remittance notices, stuffing envelopes, etc.)
• Create wire transfer payments
• Reconcile employee expense reports
• Post journal entries and reconcile payable and expense accounts
• Data entry as needed \xe2\x80\x93 journal vouchers, bank transactions, etc.
• Other ad-hoc reports as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Some Business Administration training
• Combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Good understanding of GAAP
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems (Great Plains in particular)
• Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills (Intermediate to advanced Excel)
• Works well under pressure
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and achieve project timelines
• Must work both independently and in a team environment
