We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a contract basis in Delta, British Columbia. In this role, you will support the company's financial operations by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a background in accounts payable to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Manage the matching of purchase orders to invoices and address any discrepancies or variances.

• Organize and maintain invoice files, ensuring all payment records are up to date and easily accessible.

• Prepare payment runs by compiling and providing invoice lists for approval and processing.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any outstanding issues or inquiries in a timely manner.

• Handle expense reports for sales associates, including reviewing gas card transactions.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure all financial deadlines are met, especially during month-end or year-end activities.

• Utilize the SYSPRO system for data entry and financial record-keeping.

• Support the Controller with additional administrative or accounts payable tasks as needed.

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

• Proficiency in processing invoices, coding, and data entry.

• Familiarity with accounting software, with experience using SYSPRO being an asset.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal team members.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to work in a blue-collar manufacturing environment
