Accounts Payable Clerk

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes and possess excellent analytical skills.

Note - this is a full-time, in-office position on a 6 month contract, with potential for extension.

Details:

Process a high volume of invoices, matching purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies as needed. Prepare and process electronic payments and checks for vendor payments. Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and billing inquiries. Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions, filing packing slips, invoices in a timely manner. Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. Assist with general office duties, including reception relief.

Requirements:

Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting Concentration) or similar post-secondary training. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to delay and accuracy in data entry. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
