The Opportunity:



The Accounts Payable and Administration Clerk (APAC) position is responsible for supporting day-to-day financial and contract administration, including processing payments, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial reporting. The APAC will also provide administrative assistance to the Youth Services Team, ensuring accurate financial transactions and efficient contract processing.

In the Role as Administrative Support, You Will:



Receive, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

Verify and process invoices, ensuring compliance with policies and accurate payment processing.

Match invoices to contracts, purchase orders, or service agreements, and enter approved invoices for timely payments.

Maintain communication with vendors to resolve billing issues and ensure up-to-date records.

Reconcile vendor statements, track contract deadlines, and assist with contract preparation, processing, and compliance.

Maintain organized financial, administrative, and contract records, ensuring accessibility for audits or reviews.

Provide support to Social Workers by updating client files, tracking budgets, and processing payments for Youth and SAJE agreements.

Monitor and track budget allocations, assist with client budgets, and ensure timely disbursement of funds.

Offer general administrative support, coordinate scheduling, and serve as a point of contact for accounts payable and contract-related concerns.

Support the administrative team by assisting clients, directing calls, and ensuring efficient service.

What You Will Bring to the Role:



High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Office Administration preferred. 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, administrative support, or a related field; experience in social services or non-profits is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and case management systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and handle time-sensitive documents. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with vendors, social workers, and clients. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions and contract documentation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information. Experience with First Nations organizations and knowledge of Ktunaxa Nation culture, language, and traditions. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
