Job Description

The position is office based, located in Sorrento, BC.

The candidate will be part of the Accounts Payable Team for a company that performs centralized accounting for a group of companies. The position is full-time 24 - 30 hours per week. The duties will be accounts payable, posting, reconciling and admin duties.

Required Skills:

Proficient in Sage and Excel, and possess strong computer skills Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage and complete a high volume of work Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Good problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail
Duties include but not limited to: Daily processing of vendor invoices and expense transactions. Prepare bi weekly EFT payment runs and reconcile payments and statements. Build and maintain relationships with our suppliers, vendors, and other key stakeholders across the company.

The Ideal candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping, with a background in Accounts Payable and general office duties .

Post-secondary courses in Bookkeeping or Accounting are not required, but are considered an asset.

Additionally, your ability to perform account reconciliations and data entry will support the overall financial health of the organization.
