Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Description
Our client is looking for an AP Analyst to join their team of accounting professionals. This is a 6 month term position to start located in WinnipegAgilus is recruiting for an AP Analyst in the construction sector in in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Responsibilities:
- Verify and audit accuracy of invoices by reviewing prices, quantities, discounts and tax extensions, and totals.
- Matching cheques / EFT payment to invoices
- Help with weekly cheque runs
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Performs other administrative duties as required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is a must
- Basic accounting experience is an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- High degree of initiative, self-motivation and resourcefulness
- Experience with SAP/ERP would be considered a great asset
- Ability to work in a fast-pace, time senstive environment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of invoices and PO processes
