Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of billing, and maintaining financial records. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks online and strong analytical skills to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate would live in Quesnel BC and be keenly interested in the Construction Industry

Responsibilities



1. Billing

: verify, process, and record invoices to match purchase orders and receipts

.

Check forduplicates or unauthorized payments.

2. Payment processing & Monitoring

: Schedule payments through cheques, or wire transfers. Perform bank runs. Monitor payment due dates to prevents delays and penalties.

3. Cost control:

Tracking and managing expenses

4. Vendors

: Maintain up-to-date vendor profiles, contact information. Resolve payment-related disputes efficiently. Maintain good vendor relationships to support smooth transactions and company credibility.

Expense report reviews

: Review and approve employee expense reports.

. Reconciliation: Reconcile credit cards

. Compliance: Ensure all account payable reports and processes adhere to internal controls, tax laws, and legal requirements.

. Reporting: Generating reports to support cash flow and outstanding liabilities

Track outgoing payments Maintain records Verify expense reports Maintain petty cash Review vendor and service provider agreements Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure discounts Pay vendors and service providers Reconcile statements and payment records Ensure payment credits are applied correctly Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments Analyze accounts Prepare reports Streamline the payment process Assist with audits

Experience



Proven experience in accounts payable Proficient in accounting software - QuickBooks Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices is essential. Experience in human resources functions is a plus, particularly in relation to payroll processing. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess financial information effectively.

Pay: $25.00-$33.65 per hour
