Position Overview



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Accounts & Bookkeeping Manager

to oversee our day-to-day financial operations. This onsite role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and supporting our growing business with sound accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities



Full-cycle bookkeeping

: Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with Canadian accounting standards.

Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)

: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, reconcile customer accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Payroll Administration

: Prepare and process payroll accurately and on schedule; handle source deductions and remittances (CPP, EI, income tax).

Tax Compliance

: Prepare and file GST/HST returns and other statutory filings.

Government & Regulatory Compliance

: Ensure adherence to all federal and provincial financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Inventory Management

: Oversee inventory records, reconciliations, and cost tracking to ensure accurate reporting and support purchasing decisions.

Financial Reporting

: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports for management.

Bank & Account Reconciliations

: Monitor cash flow, perform reconciliations, and manage banking relationships.

Support Audits

: Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.

Process Improvement

: Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills



Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA or equivalent) is an asset. 5+ years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles, GST/HST, and payroll regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Experience with inventory management and cost tracking is preferred. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
