We are currently seeking an Experienced Accounting Technician with a demonstrated history of working in a high-paced Public Accounting industry. In addition, the candidate must be skilled in Payroll, Account Reconciliation, Accounting, General Ledger, and ASPE.

As a Bookkeeper / Technician your responsibilities may include:

  • Provide accounting support to both clients and internal professional staff
  • Preparation and/or organization of client working papers, including bank reconciliations and other technical accounting working papers, for hand-off to staff for file completion
  • Data entry; payroll processing, including input, validation and testing
  • Ongoing accounting analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established internal procedures
  • Responding to queries identified by other team members and updating files as required.
  • Complete ad-hoc duties as required
  • Using technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
  • Building our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
Skills, Qualifications and Expertise:

To qualify for this highly visible position and an excellent opportunity for career advancement, candidates must have:
  • A diploma or certificate from a community college in business administration, accounting, or finance
  • 1+ years of experience of hands-on, bookkeeping and/or full cycle accounting exposure
  • Proficiency with Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop and QBO, and Microsoft Office software (QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification is an asset)
  • Experience with CaseWare and JazzIt is an asset
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to grasp new technology tools
  • Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients,
co-workers, and other firm contacts
