Your primary responsibilities will include:

The successful applicant will be provided an opportunity to work in a number of areas of public practice.

Duties will be varied and may include:

• Entry and reconciliation of monthly and quarterly bookkeeping assignments including but not limited to payables, receivables, bank statements, credit card statements and journal entries using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Accounting basics including preparation and analysis of general ledgers and monthly financial statements, calculation of fixed assets and depreciation as well as preparation of other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• assisting in financial statement preparation of compilations and review engagements for small to medium sized businesses,
• preparation of personal and corporate tax returns,
• performing other related accounting functions.

We have full time and part time positions available.

A successful candidate will have:

• Accounting related education and/or bookkeeping experience is required.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Experience with computer software with programs such as; Quickbooks, Simply Accounting, AccPac, Caseware, Spreadsheets (Excel) and with Tax Programs (Tax Prep) is an asset.
