Our client, one of the country's largest associations of chartered professional accounting firms, is looking for an Accounting Technician to join their team!Advantages:- A competitive salary according to experience

- Business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Requirements:- Post-secondary education (i.e. DEC, DCS) with at least two years' experience in accounting; preferably in an accounting firm
- Excellent accounting skills and knowledge of various accounting software (Sage 50 Simply Accounting, QuickBooks Desktop and Online, and/or similar cloud-based accounting)
- Excellent knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency and Revenue Quebec online credentials
- Knowledge of various online banking and payroll client platforms (ADP, Ceridian, PEOCanada, Nethris), a major asset
- Knowledge of sales taxes and of payroll/deductions at source
- Ability to prioritize and flexibility to manage workload demands, deadlines, and multiple tasks, as required, and work with minimum of supervision
- Good team spirit and work ethicLanguage Requirements: English
- Level of Proficiency Required: Advanced

- Frequency of Use: DailyResponsibilities:- Report directly to the Manager, Accounting Services Department and the designated Partner assigned to the client
- Bookkeep for various clients, including cash receipts, cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, and GST/HST/QST/DAS reports
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and/or yearly financial statements, including all necessary adjustments
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax slips (T4, T5, etc.)
