We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial operations. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software, making it essential for the successful management of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize financial records for various clients
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Process payroll and related filings
Prepare and file HST returns
Assist in preparing year-end files
Provide administrative support to management and customer service
Requirements:
Bilingual in French and English
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software (CaseWare, Taxprep, Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks)
Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience or similar
