Who we are ?

FCNQ was established in 1967 to provide the rapidly growing cooperative movement with more effective powers and services to help attain their vision \xe2\x80\x9cAtautsikut\xe2\x80\x9d Together-working to develop as a people, leaving none behind.
Responsibilities:
Under the responsibility of the assistant controller, the accounting technician carry out certain analyses, balance and reconcile certain accounts, record customer account deposits, and perform any other tasks as requested by his supervisor.
- Record on a daily basis invoices, payments and electronic funds transfer received from customers in the appropriate accounts;
- Prepare intercompany invoicing
- Record the various bank transfers (FCNQ, Coops and placement) on a daily basis;
- Close the receivables module on a monthly basis (Report, balance GL);
- Analyze and reconcile various GL accounts on a monthly basis;Certain Visa transactionsCertain co-op expensesEtc.
- Analyze and reconcile various GL accounts on a quarterly basis;Distribution and sealift departmentNunavik Petro Inc. for billing purposesEtc.
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis;
- Prepare and send KRG reports as well as record grant deposits;
- Balancer money transfer;
- Send customer account statements by email on a monthly basis;
- Prepare customer and supplier accounts confirmations and follow-ups;
- Provide information to external auditors when required;
- Participate in improving work processes in order to gain efficiency;
- Perform any other task of the same nature or of a general nature related to the job, requested by the superior or required by your duties.
Requirements:
- DEC in accounting or relevant experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting;
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Must be able to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing;
- Stands out for your sense of organization, your attention to detail and your rigour in meeting deadlines;
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills and sense of autonomy.
