Job Summary:

Dean-Lane is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team!

Responsibilities:

Mentor, support, and manage accounting staff; handle personnel issues and ensure departmental efficiency. Record and review monthly journal entries, adjustments, and bank reconciliations; verify year-end filings for accuracy and compliance. Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports to identify trends and project performance. Review and prepare project financial reports, including job costing, WIP, and margin analysis. Analyze and reconcile accounts; resolve discrepancies promptly. Oversee daily accounting operations (A/P, A/R, payroll); monitor cash flow and review AP Cash Forecast. Collaborate with project management, estimating, and operations to ensure financial accountability. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and accounting standards; maintain organized records and support external audits.

Requirements:

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry or a project-based environment. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, job costing, and WIP reporting. Proficiency in accounting software Jonas is preferred and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. CPA or working towards CPA would be considered an asset!

Monday to Friday 7:30 - 4:00
