We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong expertise in corporate finance, account analysis, and accounting software to support the organization's financial health and strategic growth. The Accounting Supervisor will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with other departments to streamline financial procedures and improve overall efficiency.
Duties
Supervise daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions.
Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Manage payroll processing and coordinate with external payroll providers as needed.
Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and other platforms to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
Conduct internal auditing procedures to verify compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Lead process improvements within the finance department to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting, corporate finance, or a related field with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Extensive knowledge of account analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and auditing processes.
Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and bookkeeping functions.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to lead a team of accounting professionals while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
