Accounting Specialist, Accounts Payable

Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable to join its Finance & Administration team. Reporting to the Controller, you will have responsibilities inherent to the management of accounts payable, including the verification and compilation of invoices as well as the reconciliation of supplier statements.

About the Role:



Review and enter supplier invoices Review and reconcile statements of account Maintain the supplier database in the accounting system Prepare payments to be issued bimonthly Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies Manage corporate credit card (AMEX) bookkeeping and obtain appropriate supporting documentation Be the primary contact for vendors regarding any questions or follow-ups Assist with bank account reconciliations. Actively participate in month-end close processes. Manage office supply orders and various other office purchases. Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Finance team

About You:



DEC or DEP in accounting or another relevant diploma 1-3 years experience in a similar accounting position Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel Exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and good management of priorities Resourcefulness and autonomy Strong preference for teamwork Ability to perform in a changing environment and through ambiguity Commitment to excellent work and accountability Bilingual, French and English Knowledge of NetSuite and Tipalti (an asset) Knowledge of ExpensePoint, Expensify and Cleemy (an asset)
