OverviewDo you have accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience? Do you have experience gathering and analyzing information and making discretionary, defensible, and timely decisions?   • Administer the corporate capital asset management system and keep current with policies and procedures relating to corporate asset management, asset expenditures, and asset accounting including business case and capital expense requisition procedures
  • Conduct monthly travel and expense reimbursement reviews
  • Audit random sample of financial transactions processed by the accounts payable and accounts receivable clerks to ensure they comply with financial policies
  • Review self-service submissions by financial service managers, budget coordinators, and other staff to ensure accuracy
  • Provide work direction and oversee daily work activities to the assigned team
  • Be a floater for positions with the Accounting Services department including positions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations

  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
Your background and experience
  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any other related discipline
  • Completion of at least Core 1 and 2 of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA program)
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in corporate accounting, with working knowledge of asset management, accounting, and auditing principles and practices
