We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting / Office Administrator to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will conduct various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bookkeeping. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial services. The Accounting / Office Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Duties
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain financial records in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
Perform payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation.
Manage employee benefit administration
Onboarding new employees and conduct/assist with new employee orientations.
Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in budget preparation and account analysis.
Prepare job cost and WIP reports
Post month end journal entries
Maintain organized records of transactions, invoices, and receipts for auditing purposes.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is required (3-5 years).
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is essential.
Understanding of financial principles including budgeting, account analysis, job costing and account reconciliation.
Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
Experience with payroll systems like Payworks, ADP or Ceridian is a plus.
